The B-Shift Quality Lead is responsible for leading quality and processing related activities at our facilities during the second shift from 5-10pm Monday through Friday. This role is designed to drive in-process quality within the Manufacturing areas and provide leadership support to the B-Shift Supervisor. This role reports directly to the Site Quality Manager for quality initiatives, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead B-Shift Quality & Processing team in ensuring cGMP Standards, quality policies and procedures are adhered to according to state regulations.

• Assure Site compliance with all program requirements, policies and procedures related to the operation of the State of Maryland’s METRC system. 
• Auditing of 5S documentation and adherence to SOPs.
• Implementation/monitoring of sanitation practices; approve standard work for cells prior to production, including ATP swabbing.
• 100% execution of daily tasks, projects & objectives.
• Oversee disposal of non-conforming material (green waste).
• Adherence to food and allergen safety policies
• Conduct inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
• Identify coaching and training needs to meet quality standards. 
• Participate in root cause analysis for quality outages.
• Provide Leadership support to the B-Shift Packaging Supervisor as needed.
• Review and approve Master Batch Records for release as needed.
• Maintains a culture of professionalism and service.
• Ensures daily compliance with policies, including, but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
• Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure notices.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, peers, and direct reports through written correspondence, email, and in-person discussions.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 1+ year of quality experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
