The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for representing Curio Wellness at the highest level by leading top account relationships, driving business development strategy, and providing executive-level sales leadership. This role owns the full scope of Curio’s most strategic partnerships, directing enterprise sales efforts and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional, measurable results. The Senior Sales Manager serves as the primary liaison between Curio’s executive leadership and top-tier accounts, ensuring the Company’s annual revenue goals are not only met but exceeded. A core responsibility is to identify and develop value-added services that differentiate Curio from its competitors, while mentoring the broader sales team and shaping the go-to-market strategy for key accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Own, manage, and grow top-tier account relationships to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead business development strategy by identifying and pursuing new strategic partnership opportunities, while organically growing existing key accounts.
  • Serve as the primary executive-level point of contact for top-tier accounts, building relationships with C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for the full enterprise portfolio, ensuring mutually beneficial growth outcomes.
  • Direct and align marketing, operations, and field teams to deploy merchandising, marketing materials, and in-store activations across top accounts.
  • Oversee and coordinate brand activation events, executive site visits, and strategic dispensary engagements to strengthen account relationships and drive brand presence.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team on the Curio Wellness brand portfolio, instilling product expertise and ensuring consistent, high-quality representation across all customer touchpoints for Curio Wellness, Dixie(MD), Kaviar, Edie Parker, Happy Eddie, and Smokiez(MD) products.
  • Provide executive leadership with strategic market intelligence, competitive insights, and new product recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to refine sales strategy, optimize pricing and promotional approaches, and capitalize on emerging market trends.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure

  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue and profitability goals across top accounts and enterprise portfolio.
  • Meet or exceed distribution and market penetration targets across assigned accounts.
  • Develop & Execute New Product Launch and Business Development Plans for Top Accounts

  • Achieve executive-level engagement goals and strategic relationship milestones with top account leadership.

 

Learning & Development

  • Achieve assigned leadership development goals and mentor junior sales team members.

 

Internal Process

  • Lead assigned cross-functional initiatives and contribute to company-wide sales strategy and process improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 8+ years’ experience in cannabis, pharmaceutical, or consumer product goods sales with a demonstrated track record of leading top accounts, growing revenue, and managing complex enterprise relationships
  • Proven experience in business development, including prospecting, pitching, and closing new enterprise-level accounts
  • Experience working with executive leadership and presenting to senior-level stakeholders; strong command of sales management systems and data-driven decision making
  • Deep knowledge of the cannabis market, Top Account landscape, and competitive dynamics; existing relationships with senior buyers or operators strongly preferred
  • Personal vehicle required; ability to travel to customer locations, industry events, and HQ as needed. Flex schedule with availability for evenings and weekends as business demands.
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and sound judgment.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
