As we are continuing to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Retail Procurement Associate to lead this function for our Missouri retail stores and franchise locations regardless of geography.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- The Retail Procurement Associate will lead and oversee the inventory management at our MO retail dispensaries and any franchise operations under the Curio Wellness umbrella
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our dispensaries by optimizing inventory levels, vendor relationships, and merchandising strategies.
- In concert with the accounting leadership, this person is responsible for developing an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures, review the level of supplies, order new materials, and perform daily analysis.
- Develop and execute inventory purchasing strategies to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory. and improving inventory velocity.
- Forecast demand for all product lines by store and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Provide best practices to document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems. Regularly audit inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, facilitating effective communication and negotiating favorable terms.
- Create forward buying and promotional opportunities that result in quarterly advance promotional and buying schedules
- Work closely with vendors to help them manage product movement effectively and effectively.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels — Ensure adequate weeks-on-hand and meet established inventory thresholds to balance stock availability with cash flow efficiency.
- Drive sales performance through purchasing — Successfully execute promotional strategies by aligning purchasing decisions with upcoming campaigns, product demand, and margin goals.

- Minimum of four to six years in a similar role- inventory management – retail a plus
- A proven track record in efficient and effective inventory purchasing and management
- A proven track record in planning merchandising and promotional plans across a portfolio of supply chain partners.
- A proven track record of successful promotion merchandising while meeting targeted store-level gross profit margin targets.
- Proven knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting inventory demand.
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail & outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent quantitative and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence people even when you do not have complete reporting control over them.
- A focus on collaboration and respectful approaches to all tasks. [MB1]
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a relevant field is preferred.
