SUMMARY: The Floriculture Associate performs manual labor to assist in the maintenance, upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing medicinal cannabis, including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, pruning, propagating, transplanting, cleaning, and harvesting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- The ideal candidate will embrace a mindset of Extreme Ownership, taking full responsibility for their contributions and driving positive outcomes.
- The Grower will be responsible for assisting in daily activities as they pertain to maintaining the health of medical cannabis plants.
- Work time expectation: 60% of the time will be spent working with plants in the grow rooms propagating, transplanting, moving, pruning, spacing, grading, watering, potting, harvesting, and loading cannabis plants. 30% of time will be spent doing general duties around the nursery as they relate to the upkeep of the nursery, including 5s. 10% will be spent on continuous improvement.
- Assist in the propagation, transplanting, moving, pruning, spacing, grading, watering, applications, potting, harvesting, and loading of cannabis plants.
- General duties around the nursery as they relate to the upkeep of the nursery, including 5s.
- Scout for plant pests.
- Assist in Irrigation and application schedules.
- Follow and uphold GMP/GAP standards.
- Manage medical cannabis plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ability to execute techniques consistently
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Prior commercial agricultural experience in a greenhouse or nursery
- Knowledge of controlled greenhouse environments.
- Ability to follow protocols and willingness to learn new skills
- Detail oriented
- Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas.
- Knowledge of Maryland/Missouri DHSS regulations preferred
- Strong math skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 2+ years of experience working in a greenhouse/nursery environment or a related horticultural field; or combination of education and experience.
