At Curio Wellness we empower people to thrive by adapting plant nature to human nature. We are committed to transforming the conversation around cannabis, fostering a deeper understanding of its benefits, and ensuring that every product we offer meets the highest standards.

Be bold. Be exceptional. Be well.

The Manager, Marketing Operations & Planning is the operational backbone of the Curio Wellness Marketing department. This role ensures that every initiative — from brand campaigns and product launches to retail activations and wholesale programs — is planned with precision, tracked with rigor, and executed with accountability.

Reporting directly to the Chief Brand Officer, this role partners closely with Curio's senior and executive leadership teams and serves as the connective tissue between the Marketing department and key business partners across retail, wholesale, and operations. The ideal candidate brings exceptional organizational instincts, strong executive presence, and an unwavering commitment to driving results.

Please note: This position involves working with plant material, which may include exposure to pollen, allergens, and other plant-related substances. We recommend that applicants with known plant allergies or sensitivities consult with a healthcare professional before applying for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Marketing Planning & Project Management

  • Own and maintain the Marketing department's master planning calendar, ensuring all initiatives are scoped, sequenced, and resourced appropriately.
  • Build and manage project plans in Monday.com for all marketing workstreams — including brand campaigns, product launches, content production, retail activations, and wholesale marketing support.
  • Establish and enforce project intake processes, timelines, and milestone tracking across the full marketing team.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; escalate and resolve issues before they impact delivery.
  • Ensure all projects have clearly defined owners, timelines, and deliverables — and that those commitments are met.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between the Marketing department and key partners, including the Senior Director of Retail Operations and Regional Presidents overseeing the wholesale business.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional alignment meetings; prepare agendas, capture decisions, and drive follow-through on all action items.
  • Ensure marketing timelines and deliverables are communicated clearly and proactively to all business stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Chief Brand Officer and executive leadership team (ELT) on preparation, communication, and coordination of strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Translate business priorities from retail and wholesale partners into actionable marketing briefs and project plans.

Execution, Accountability & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive a culture of accountability within the Marketing department — ensuring that commitments are tracked, progress is visible, and gaps are addressed quickly.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting to provide leadership with real-time visibility into the marketing portfolio.
  • Lead post-project retrospectives; identify process improvements and implement solutions to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring marketing workflows.
  • Monitor and report on department capacity and workload; flag resource constraints and recommend prioritization decisions to the CBO.

Executive Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare and present marketing status updates, project reviews, and operational reports to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop executive-ready materials including briefs, presentations, and dashboards that communicate progress, priorities, and risks with clarity.
  • Represent the Marketing department in cross-functional leadership meetings; communicate on behalf of the CBO as appropriate.
  • Exercise sound judgment in managing confidential and sensitive business information across leadership levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, program management, or a related operational role within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Monday.com or similar project management platforms (Asana, Wrike, Smartsheet); ability to build and manage complex project boards.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously without losing detail.
  • Strong executive presence — confident and polished in presenting to and working alongside senior and executive-level leaders.
  • Track record of driving accountability and execution across teams; comfortable holding others to commitments in a collaborative, professional manner.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience building executive-facing presentations and reports.

Preferred

  • Experience in cannabis, CPG, retail, or a regulated consumer industry.
