The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team with a key focus on budgeting, forecasting, market analysis, and business case modeling. In this role, the Analyst will work with and partner across functional divisions to drive financial planning, analysis, and management reporting. This position will partner directly with Sales, Marketing, and Product Innovation to provide in-depth analysis that will drive decision-making and strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare monthly reporting packages that support the executive team through financial business reviews
- Analyze variances between actual, forecasted, and budgeted results; prepare commentary and actionable insights.
- Lead sales and demand forecasting for annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting processes, and continued oversight of current demand
- Own and lead demand consensus meetings, including deck preparation, key drivers for changes, analysis of variance to plan, risks and ops, action items, and sales/marketing plan alignment
- Analyze sales performance metrics, including sales revenue, growth rates, promotion ROI, and customer segmentation
- Drive automation and standardization of FP&A workflows
Financial Modeling and Strategic Analysis
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and scenario planning
- Create and maintain forecast models, incorporating market trends and consumer insight
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential growth areas
- Perform competitive landscape analysis in the markets in which the company operates or expects to operate
- Develop sales forecasts and projections using statistical modeling techniques
- Continuously refine the demand forecasting model to understand, reflect, and communicate assumptions and new developments
- Assist in the preparation of long-range financial models in support of M&A activity, as needed

- Identify and present key insights from the forecast in a concise, logical manner to drive commercial results
- Support new product launch activity through market analysis and business case modeling
Board and Investor presentation coordination

- Assist in the preparation of Board materials and presentations, and other ad hoc external investor requests, as they relate to market insight and demand forecasting
- Ad hoc analysis as needed
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or Finance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to develop executive-level presentations
- Highly analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into a cohesive and clear narrative, appropriately tailored to different stakeholder groups and objectives
- Experience providing ideas and solutions to further business performance

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility for others.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, similar major, or four (+5) years of equivalent job-related experience. MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.
